[Hyperbaric medicine--dilemmas regarding its possibilities].

چکیده
Hiperbarična oksigenacija danas je prihvaćena kao mogućnost lečenja mnogih hirurških i internističkih oboljenja, a kod nekih se smatra i metodom izbora. Do takvog statusa hiperbarična oksigenoterapija (HBOT) došla je posle višegodišnje borbe i suprotstavljanja stavova u medicinskim krugovima . Od trenutka kada se pojavila, hiperbarična medicina je prošla od faze oduševljenog prihvatanja, kroz stagnaciju i odbijanje, sve do prihvatanja, uz njene pozitivne i negativne karakteristike. Još 1887. godine Arntzenius je rekao: „Poverenje koje tretman zaslužuje može biti izgubljeno ukoliko se realna vrednost tretmana prenaglašava“.
